I am so sorry to hear of Merle's passing. I remember so well visiting 'Uncle Les' and 'Aunt Margaret.' It wasn't seemly then for a child to call an adult by their first name, even though we were cousins. I remember his wedding to Sandy as their car was hidden in our garage in Erie. That was very exciting to a child, me.
I lost touch with all of you shortly after my father died, but the memories of the Grau family are so dear.

So many memories of Merle and growing up at the Grau farm. Hated the hog feeders keeping me awake at night. Loved Sandy’s hamburgers! And always remember the little league game days watching Mitch play (well maybe Lauri and I didn’t watch much of the game) and rehashing the whole game afterwards. The thing I remember most about Merle is his laugh!

Every time we saw Merle, he would ask if we still had his 2008 Enclave, and then he would say that he sure wished he had it back and that he never should have traded it. Best car he ever had. We had a good laugh about it every time we saw him. Loved his sense of humor!
