Obituary of Donald J. Dykman
Donald J. Dykman, 67, of Ocala, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Don was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Gerald and Ruth Dykman. He moved to Ocala in 1982 from Michigan. Don was in construction for most of his life. He loved sports, especially football and hockey. He was also an avid goose hunter and fisherman. Don served in the US Army during the Viet Nam era.
Don was predeceased by 2 sisters; Marilyn DeVries and Colleen Eldred.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Dawn Dykman of Ocala, FL, daughter Deanna Dykman of Gainesville, FL, son William Dykman of Ocala, FL, 3 grandchildren; Embry, Elias, and Erik, brother Ronald (Kathy) Dykman of Lansing, MI, sister Jerilyn Baird of Dutton, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 13th from 2-5pm at Hiers Baxley Funeral Services in Ocala. The Funeral will be 10:30am, Monday, January 14th at the funeral home chapel followed by burial at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
