Obituary of John Luther Jenkins

John Luther Jenkins of The Villages, Florida, born on April 27, 1939, passed away on December 18, 2018 at the age of 79.

 

John was the son of John Luther Jenkins and Clara Craig Jenkins.  John was preceded in death by his mother and father as well as his sister June Claire Jenkins. 

 

John was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Sandra Sanders Jenkins and was in a committed relationship with Elizabeth (Jody) Porter at the time of his passing.  He leaves behind three children, John Craig Jenkins, Andrea Jenkins Wilcoxen, and Christie Jenkins Blakely, along with four grandchildren, Tiffany McGinnis, Micah McGinnis, Lauren Blakely,  Anna Blakely and Thomas Dray Price.  He had one great grandchild, Avery Elise Price.  He also leaves behind three bonus children from his relationship with Jody Porter, Alicia Brinkman, Pamala Wilsey, and Paul Porter as well as seven bonus grandchildren Paige, Griffin and Gavin Brinkman, Porter and Rileigh Wilsey, and Jordan and Russell Porter.

 

John was an avid Tennessee Vols fan and loved anything sports related.  He enjoyed golfing and actively coached little league sports throughout his life. 

 

The family will be holding a celebration of life service at Madison Christian Church, 605 W. Old Hickory Boulevard, Madison, TN on Saturday, December 29^th from 1-3pm.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in John Jenkins name to Madison Christian Church.
