Obituary of Marie H Wegel

Marie H Wegel, 60, of The Villages, Florida passed away December 14, 2018 at Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages, FL.

Marie was born in Queens, New York, the daughter of the late Kurt and Irene Wegel. Prior to her retirement she was Financial Director in the long term health care industry on Long Island, NY. Marie taught Religious Education for 20 years at St. Isidore’s Roman Catholic Church, Long Island.

Before coming to The Villages, Marie enjoyed Long Island beaches, softball and many friends. Here in The Villages she enjoyed the active lifestyle including golf, billiards along with many friends.

Marie will be missed by many, but especially her life-long friends, Patricia Kelly and Norma-Jean Burg of The Villages along with their families.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 8:30 AM. Inurnment will take place at St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village, NY.
