Obituary of Harold Murrell Hoover

Harold Murrell Hoover, 78, of The Villages, Florida passed away December 20, 2018 at The Ted & Diane Brandley Hospice House, Summerfield, FL. He was the husband of Rita J. Hoover for 54 years.

Harold was born in Columbus, Ohio a son of the late Harold and Sarah Hoover. He was a proud Veteran of the US Navy. Prior to his retirement he worked as an underground lineman for American Electric Power of Ohio.  He was involved in the Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years serving in numerous capacities as well as Scout Master.  He was also a member of the Lions Club International. Harold was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Community, Summerfield, FL.

Harold is survived by his wife, Rita Jane Hoover and sons, Todd M Hoover of Sarasota, FL and Timothy M Hoover and his wife Tina of Pickerington, OH, grandchildren: Nicole Hoover, Alexis Hoover, Christopher Jackson and Anthony Bogner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00AM on December 27, 2018 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 7165 Southeast Hwy 42, Summerfield, FL 34491. Interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.  Condolences may be left at Hiers-Baxley.com
