Obituary of Wayne Joseph Galvagni

Wayne Joseph Galvagni, 69, of Ocala, FL, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Estelle’s Hospice House.  Wayne was born in Northampton, Massachusetts to Victor and Henriette “Tifi” Galvagni.  He moved to Ocala in 1982 from Everett, Washington.  Wayne served in the USMC during the Viet Nam era, as a Helicopter mechanic.  He then worked at Bell Helicopter, Boeing, then E-ONE for 36 years before his retiring this year.  An accomplished artist, he enjoyed painting nature scenes and landscapes.  He also enjoyed kayaking, bicycling, and hiking. 

 

Wayne is survived by his wife of 23 years, Susan Galvagni of Ocala, step-son Neil Dominessy, daughter Teresa (Russell) Cooper of Ocala, 6 grandchildren; Dustin, Zachery, Hannah, Carlie, Jarrett, and Emily, 2 brothers; Gary (Diane) Galvagni and Keith (Rose) Galvagni.

 

Mr. Galvagni’s final resting place will be at Highland Memorial Park in Ocala.
