Obituary of Brenda Jean Gibson

Brenda Jean Gibson, 67, of Ocklawaha, Florida passed away October 29, 2018 at West Marion Community Hospital in Ocala, Florida.  She was the wife of the late John Gibson who preceded her in June 2008.

She was born in Arlington, Virginia to DeWitt and Naida Moore. Brenda volunteered with the Salvation Army.  She worked in transportation and care of disabled children. She enjoyed being with her family, doing puzzles and shooting guns.

Brenda is survived by sons: Timothy (Amber Brown)Moore, George Gibson, Michael Gibson all of Ocklawaha, FL; David (Ashley) Searfoss of Oviedo, FL; and daughters: Teresa Munday, and Amanda Moore of Ocklawaha, FL; Donna (Jerry) Franklin of Summerfield, FL Justina Grace Tynes of OK; and sisters: Debbie Moore of Myrtle Beach, SC, Diana Beatty of Astor, FL, Denise Corbin of Silver Springs, FL and Darlene Unthank of VA; and brother: DeWitt Clinton Moore of WV. She leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren to treasure her memory.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Tammy Munday.

The family will receive friends at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview, FL 34420 on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM with the Reverend Doug Green officiating. Interment will take place at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, Ocala, FL.
