Obituary of Joan Lillian Sockett (nee Jorgensen)

Joan Lillian Sockett (nee Jorgensen) age 85, of The Villages, Florida, formally of Philadelphia, PA, passed peacefully October 27, 2018 surrounded by her beloved family.

Joan enjoyed traveling the world, especially when she was on her favorite cruise ships. Joan had an affection for animals and often times made generous donations to many animal rescue organizations. She loved live music and was often found dancing at the square.

She was survived by her daughter Gail D. Thomsen; granddaughters Tara (Chris) Greenfeder Johns, Candice (Lennie) Greenfeder Johnson; and great-grandchildren Alexis and Luke.

She was preceded in death by daughters Susan Lynn (Thomsen) Atwood, Cindy James (Thomsen) Hancock, and Joni L. Thomsen.
