Obituary of Emil Fredrick Knorr

Emil Fredrick Knorr, Sr., 82, of Ocala, Florida passed away August 7, 2018 at West Marion Community Hospital Ocala, Florida. He was the husband of Marilyn Knorr for 43 years.

He was born in Youngstown, Ohio a son of the late Harry and Ruth Knorr. He was a member of the Ocala West Church of the Nazarene, Ocala, FL.  Emil was a teacher in Shaker Heights Cleveland, OH.  He was inducted into the Bluffton University Football Hall of Fame. He received his Master’s Degree from Boston College.

Emil is survived by his wife Marilyn Knorr and son, Emil  Knorr, Jr. and his wife Susan of  Ocala, FL and daughter, Susan Michelle Knorr of Columbus, OH and step-son Charles  Griffin of  Norman, OK and step-daughter, Louisa wife of Brett Schaffer of Littleton, CO. He has 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Kimberly Knorr and step-daughter, Kathryn Bumbalough.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110^th Street, Ocala, FL 34481 Funeral services will be held in Urbana, OH with interment in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, OH.
