Kathryn G Wilson Doyle

1926 – 2018

Kathryn G Wilson Doyle, age 92, of Ocala passed away on July 1, 2018 at Bridgewater Park Health & Rehabilitation, Ocala, FL.

Ms. Doyle, was born in Ticonderoga, NY and resided in Ocala since 1989, first in Oak Run and more recently at Brookdale Pinecastle.   She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Doyle, and her parents, Rose and Carl Wilson.   She is survived by, three children, Holly Wallace of Alexandria, VA; Julia Wallace, of Green Bay Wisconsin; and James Wallace of Gaithersburg, MD,  and one granddaughter, Allison Fryman of Portland, Oregon.  She is also survived by her sister, Jane Merrill of NY.

Katie was an avid artist throughout her life and left behind hundreds of oil paintings and watercolors of a wide variety of subjects. She was also a fiercely competitive Scrabble player her entire adult life.  Since moving to Oak Run, she was instrumental in starting the Art Club (ACOR) and was active with the Performing Arts group.  She enjoyed playing golf and loved living in Oak Run.

A memorial service will be held on at 10 AM on Friday, July 13 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services. TimberRidge, 9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala, FL 34481.  Interment to follow at Florida National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the SPCA of Ocala.
