Obituary of Mary L. Kennedy

Mary Kennedy, age 91, passed away on June 30, 2018 at Bridgewater Park Health & Rehabilitation, Ocala, FL.  Born in Newark, NJ on December 9, 1926, she was married to Thomas Kennedy for 60 years until his death in 2008. She was a bookkeeper for Shifman Mattress Company in Newark for 20 years before she and Tom retired and moved to Bayville, NJ.  In 1993, they moved to Ocala, FL where she became a member of Queen of Peace Church and joined the women’s league at that parish.  She is survived by three children:  Lea Sivilich and husband Dan of Middleboro, MA; Bruce Kennedy and wife Charity of Baton Rouge, LA; and Brian Kennedy of Bayville, NJ,  nine grandchildren:  Michelle, Eric, Thomas, Krista, Nicholas, Bethany, Keegan, Grace Ann and Charity Leah, great-granddaughter Emerson Jayne and sisters-in-law Joyce Leto and Catherine Leto.  She has one surviving brother, Raymond Leto of Easton, PA.  She was predeceased by her sister, Lena Leto of Albuquerque, NM, and three brothers:  Charles Leto of Ocala, FL, Samuel Leto of Cedar Knolls, NJ, and Joseph Leto of Ocala, FL.   

 

Interment will be at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River, NJ, date to be announced.
