Miss Nola & Family
All that can recall General McAdoo are sadden by the news of his passing. We take great pride in having served with him at Robins AFB, Georgia, when he was the Air Force Reserve's Vice Commander. His profound influence and mentorship to many who served in uniform will not be forgotten. Our deepest condolences and prayers.

Dear Nola:
Jim was a general's general and a gentleman's gentleman. I met him at McGuire AFB many years ago. We met again at the Villages VA Clinic as volunteers.
It was so good to work with him at the VA. He showed me the ropes and was so kind and helpful to me and the veterans. I will miss him very, very much. May God bless him and you for all your kindness and good will.

Thank you for your military service, General McAdoo, and especially as Commander of the 514th Military Airlift Wing as it was called then, and where I now serve. As it's former historian, I've done my part to help preserve your photograph and biography for future generations. May you rest in peace, sir.

Oh Nola, such heartbreaking news. I am so sorry Nola.
Such a gift meeting you and Jim. What a charming couple.
Jim talked about his volunteering but never mentioned his stunning military accomplishments. Quite the humble man.
Please stay in touch Nola. I am your friend.

I have had the pleasure of volunteering at the VA Out Patience center with Jim for four years. I feel it was an honor to have known such a great man. He will be missed so much by all. I was extremely saddened by the passing of Jim. Saying he was a great man is a understatement. My deepest sympathy to his family. I had an incident that occurred to me a couple years ago and Jim was one of the first people to come check on me. I would of been honored to have ever served under The General he will be missed sorely. He had a great impact on many people here.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy for your loss. Gen McAdoo had amazing impact on my Air Force career. I was a MSgt when the General received the Order of the Sword and was proud to be in attendance at the ceremony, I cannot think of anyone more worthy of that honor. He proudly spoke about his daughter being in the first class with female cadets. My fondest memory was when I asked General McAdoo to write a letter of recommendation for my commissioning, At that time, he was in the Pentagon and he wrote an amazing recommendation. I still have that recommendation and, even to this day, I occasionally read the letter and reflect on those great times that I had the privilege to server with General McAdoo at Mc Guire AFB. He was always approachable, friendly and impacted so many Air Force careers, especially mine. I will miss him greatly. May he rest in peace, Memory Eternal.

Sending sincere condolences and prayers for comfort to family. Remember him as an extremely professional man with the highest standards and exemplifying what leadership should be. He was so influential in developing all his subordinates who went on to accomplish great things because of him. I was a 72 AES Flight Nurse and active both with the Reserve and Active Duty groups while he was Commander of the 514th Military Airlift Wing @ McGuire Air Force Base.

So sorry to learn of Ge. McAdoo's passing. He was an excellent commander and individual. I knew him when he became commander of the 514th MAW and I was the Flight Examiner ART of the 72 AES. Any interaction with him was a plus for both parties concerned. He truly cared what was going on with the units under his command and because of that, many considered him to be the best commander the 514th had over the years. I enjoyed the time he had with us at McGuire AFB.
