Obituary of Natalie McCarrel

Natalie McCarrel, 79, of Ocala, FL passed away February 6, 2009 at the residence of her daughter, Gwendolyn Taylor. She was born January 21, 1930 in Atlanta, GA, and moved to Miami, FL in her early teens. She married Thomas H. McCarrel from St. Augustine, FL on August 21, 1947. They were married for 48 years before Tom passed away. Natalie retired from the Dade County School System and she and her husband moved to Ocala in 1982. She is survived by her loving family, daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Mark Taylor of Summerfield, her son Randal Thomas McCarrel of Ocala, and her 2 grandchildren. Michael Taylor and Kelly Rode, both of Ocala. Natalie devoted much of her time helping others, such as volunteer work at the Appleton Museum for over 10 years and church activities at both Grace Episcopal and St. Mary’s Episcopal Churches. She has many loving friends and neighbors, who will miss her dearly.
