Obituary of Violet Marr

MARR, VIOLET LAZELLE Ocala - Violet Lazelle Marr, 82, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Crossville, TN and had been a resident of Ocala since 1956. She and her late husband, James Y. Marr, founded and operated Ocala Travel Service. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and had volunteered over 20,000 hours at Munroe Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her children, Debby Gibson of Ocala, Jeff Marr of Ocala and David Marr of Vero Beach, her sisters, Wanda Chadwick of Lexington, KY, Loretta O'Connell and Ava Thomas both of Cincinnati, OH and her six grandchildren. Memorial services will be on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Grace Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 P.M. Arrangements by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to Hospice of Marion County.
