Obituary of Mary R. Filak

Mary R. Filak, 79, of The Villages passed away Friday March 20, 2009. She was born in Staten Island and Moved to The Villages 10 years ago. She was a homemaker and also worked in the test Kitchens of Proctor and Gamble in Staten Island and Sanders Photography Studio, Staten Island. Mrs, Filak attended St. Timothy Catholic Community and was a member of the German American Club, Staten Island Club, 26'ers Club, Staen Island Ballroom Dancers Club, and the Port Ivory Retirees Club. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, cooking, gardening shopping, traveling,golf, bocce and suffleboard. Mrs Filak was a silver medalist in the Senior Games in 2001 She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles Filak of The Villages and her daughter Barbara Filak also of The Villages. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Filak
