Obituary of Randall Burchett

BURCHETT, Randall Gordon Mr. Randall Gordon Burchett, 74, of Salt Springs, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville. A native of Kentucky, he moved to this area 50 years ago from Miami. A carpenter by trade, he served his country in Korea in the US Army. His memberships include the American Legion, VFW, the Masons, and the Salt Springs Christian Church. He is survived by his daughter Theda Severance, sons William and Peter David Underwood, his sister Mary Frances Smith, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Ann E. Underwood Burchett in 2007. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Salt Springs Christian Church. Interment will follow in Salt Springs Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala.
