Obituary of Myrtle Swearingen

SWEARINGEN, Myrtle Nelson Mrs. Myrtle Nelson Swearingen, 94, of Anthony, died Friday, April 3, 2009, at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. Born in Summerfield, Mrs. Swearingen was a lifelong resident of Marion County. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Anthony, where she was a member of WMU and a former member of the choir. She is survived by her daughters June Bass of Anthony, Shirley Gunter and Gail Hodge of Newberry, Joyce Davis of Coleman, sons Dan and Nathan Swearingen of Summerfield, 22 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Van Swearingen.
