Obituary of Stephen Matewicz

Tech Sgt. Stephen J. Matewicz, Jr., USAF (Ret), age 76, of Ocala, FL went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009. He was born in Hamtramck, MI on February 12, 1933. Stephen was raised in Detroit and joined the US Air Force at the age of 18. He served a total of 22 years during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. After retiring from the military he worked for the Department of Defense as a Program Manager. His hobbies included coin and stamp collecting. Stephen was a Baptist. He moved to Florida from Michigan in 1981. His surviving family members include a daughter Sherry Wilson; daughter Julie Matewicz; daughter Sheila Dye; sister Gloria Koehler; former spouse Shirley Elhadra; grandchildren Jessie, Michael, Roxanne and Daniel; great grandson Aaron. He was predeceased by a son Jamie Matewicz.
