Obituary of Frank John Domanski
THE VILLAGES — Frank J. Domanski, 77, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2010.
Mr. Domanski was born in Astoria, Long Island City, N.Y., and moved to The Villages from Patchogue, Long Island, N.Y., in 2004.
He retired after 30 years as a building material and supply salesman; worked for five years with Community Watch as a Village of Bonnybrook gate greeter; member of St. Mark The Evangelist Roman Catholic Community, Summerfield; Big Brothers associated with Catholic Charities of Long Island; received "Man of the Year" award for implementing a seat belt safety program; was an Army veteran; an avid reader; crossword enthusiast; enjoyed basketball; and was a gifted artist and poet.
Survivors include his wife, Mary C.; daughter Mary E. Domanski, Lady Lake; and two grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at St. Mark the Evangelist Roman Catholic Community. Visitation will be 3-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. Burial with military honors will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Rockville, MD 20852.
