Obituary of Veronica Warren

Veronica (Ronnie) Warren nee Kunkel Born January 23, 1921 in Flushing, NY. She was married to Robert J. Warren for 65 years, the mother of Barbara M. (Robert) Plunkitt of Summerfield, FL, Frederick R. (Carol) Warren of Port Jefferson, NY, Kevin F. Warren of Houston, TX, Peter J. (Kathy) Warren of Westfield, NJ, and Matthew C. (Patricia) Warren of Milford, CT. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara E. Kunkel, and her son, Matthew. Ronnie was a research chemist at Sloane-Kettering Cancer Center, NY, and was an elementary school teacher at Sacred Heart School, Merrick, NY where she was also School Board Chairman. She is the grandmother of 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, and enjoyed Mahjong, Bingo, and Trivia. She was previously an active tennis and golf player. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478.
