Obituary of Joan Banas

Joan C. Banas, 80, of Ocala, FL passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in Ocala, FL. Born in Stonington, CT on May 24, 1931, daughter to the late William and Marguerite (Hardiman) Riley, she was a long time resident of Waterford, CT., moving to Ocala, FL in 1992. She was a past member of the Ladies Guild at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Joan was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael Banas in 2002. She is survived by her sons Michael Banas,III and Steven E. Banas (Barbara); 5 grandchildren; her brother Thomas Riley and sister Brenda Sullivan. Private inurnment services will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala, FL. Memorial Contributions may be given to Hospice of Marion County.
