Obituary of Martha S. Johnson

Johnson, Martha Brigman Sedberry Martha Brigman Sedberry Johnson, 87, died August 11, 2011 at the Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville, FL. Originally from Rockingham, NC, Mrs. Johnson moved to Ocala in 1949. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for 62 years and enjoyed big band music. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughters Barbara J. (Phil) McNair, Mary Virginia (Allen) Pearce, and Martha Kaye (Fred) Ball; and her son Wade Chesley (Mary Beth) Johnson; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Wade C. Johnson, Jr., parents John Chesley Sedberry and Lottie Ann Brigman Sedberry, and a sister, Mary Sedberry Brown. Services for Mrs. Johnson will be held at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Fred Ball officiating, Saturday, August 13, at 2:00 pm, with visitation at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Ocala, FL.
