Obituary of George P. Althen

THE VILLAGES — George Althen, 83, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011. Mr. Althen was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He worked as a water plant operator in Davie prior to retirement in 1996; and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Louise; son, Jeff, Beverly Hills; daughter, Janet, Columbia, Md.; and one granddaughter. No service will be held.
