Obituary of George Panchak

THE VILLAGES — George P. Panchak. 88, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011. Mr. Panchak was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to The Villages from Long Island, N.Y., in 1994. He was a retired electrical engineer; member of St. Timothy Catholic Community, Lady Lake; American Legion Post 347; Chula Vista Social Club; Woodworking Club; an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II; and his hobbies were golf; woodworking; and bocce. Survivors include his wife, Joan Kelly; sons, Robert, Riverhead, N.Y., Paul, Salt Lake City, Michael, Port Jefferson, N.Y., Charles, Kingston, N.Y.; brother, William, Syosset, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at St. Timothy Catholic Community. Burial will be later at St. John's Cemetery in New York. Arrangements are by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services-The Villages.
