Obituary of Robert Wayne Richards

THE VILLAGES — Robert W. Richards, 83, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011. Mr. Richards was born in Superior, Wis., and moved to The Villages from Shelby Township, Mich., in 2003. He was a retired professional engineer for Boico Engineering; a Navy veteran of World War II; member of the Bonsai Club; Ballroom Dancing Club; an avid reader; wordsmith; amateur pilot; designer; inventor; and builder. Survivors include his wife, Joanne; daughter, Kathy Palmby, Chicago; sons, Kris Richards and Kurt Richards, both of Ortonville, Mich.; stepsons, Mike Browarski, Chicago, Rick Browarski, Ferndale, Mich.; and brother, Leslie, Rochester, Mich. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Richards residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marion County Hospice. Arrangements are by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services-The Villages.
