Obituary of Thomas C. Wagner

THE VILLAGES — Thomas C. Wagner Sr., 84, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011. Mr. Wagner was born in New York, N.Y., and moved to The Villages from Mount Prospect, Ill., in 1992. He was an advertising executive; member of North Lake Presbyterian Church, Lady Lake; Illinois Club; Relay for Life; a Navy veteran of World War II. His hobbies were playing cards; golf; writing; avid reader; and crossword puzzles. Survivors include his wife, Dolores; daughters Donna Furst (David), Crystal Lake, Ill., Dianne Pennella, West Melbourne; son, Thomas Jr. (Glenda), Lockport, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at noon Monday, Aug. 29 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services-The Villages. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services-The Villages.
