Obituary of Gerard Vasil

In loving memory of Gerard "Jerry" Vasil Sr., age 85, who passed away in Florida on August 26, 2011. He was formerly of Connecticut. Gerard was the beloved husband of Yolanda Pascone Vasil for 61 years and a loving father to Gerard Jr. and Cynthia. "Stitch" was his black labrador companion. He was the son of the late John and Mary Vasil. Gerard retired from the transportation department at Sikorsky Aircraft where he was employed for 35 years. He was a Navy veteran serving in the Philippines and Asia during World War II. He was a member of The Slovak Catholic Sokols. The Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home of Ocala, Florida is in care of arrangements.
