Obituary of Edward C. Heiland
THE VILLAGES — Edward C. Heiland Jr., 86, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011.
Mr. Heiland was born in Utica, N.Y., and moved to The Villages from Fort Myers in 2002. He was a retired Mack truck dealer; U.S. Navy veteran of World War II; member of St. Mark the Evangelist Roman Catholic Community; member of the Yahnundasis Golf Club, the American Legion Post 347, the Faxton Hospital Foundation Board in Utica; loved golf, being a private pilot, traveling and his family.
Survivors include sons Edward, Remsen, N.Y., and John, Mohawk, N.Y.; daughters Helen Drummond, Bear, Del., Debra Bulinski, Utica, and Kimberly Neale, Townsend, Del., brother, Paul, Marcy, N.Y.; dear companion, Evelyn Robertson, The Villages; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 2, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services-The Villages.
