Mom loved her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family, neighbors. She was a survivor, strong, and protective of her family. She would reach out to any person she saw who may need help or be downtrodden without counting the personal cost. She had a heart that cared for the lost. She forgave with an open heart. She gave love because Jesus loved and she wanted to be like Him. Who else would have two baskets of flowers at their funeral from a supermarket? Who else would have bank tellers, Perkins hostesses, etc. share with the family about how she showed she cared? We were the ones who were fortunate to have someone love all so much. As much as I miss her, I look forward to seeing her again in heaven. It will be a wonderful reunion!
Daughter #3, Liz

I echo my brothers comments. Aunt Kitty was so very good to myself and family.
I absolutely loved when she would say, "You deserve it". I have modeled much of my
life around her generosity. I am generous to a fault, and Kitty taught me how to
help anyone and everyone. It was a great lesson I learned from her early on.
I will miss you Aunt Kitty.

"Aunt" Kitty will always be a wonderful memory in my mind. My mother spoke so glowingly of her and their childhood years together in Philly, and having the chance to spend time with her through the years was always a treat. She never showed up empty-handed and that meant a lot to my family which was dreadfully poor. The caring and love she showed us and my mother was a true blessing and I only regret I saw so little of her over the last 20 years. Seeing the posted pictures of her today brightened my day, thank you to whoever shared them on here.
I'm sure I can speak for the entire Schoenewald family when I say "Aunt" Kitty, you were our biggest cheerleader and favorite relative. May you rest in Peace until you can laugh with Tommy again.
We all loved you very much!

She was always happy to see us and she loved her family and having a good time. One of our favorite memories of "mom" is when we went went looking for her to say our good-byes after one of Bill & Ev's picnics on Hempstead Road. We found her in Tracey & Jen's room propped up in one of their beds reading a Nancy Drew book. We gave and received good night hugs and kisses and tucked her in. She promised to turn out the lights as soon as she found out whodunit!
