Obituary of Glenn Garmanus Patton

Glenn G. Patton, Jr. age 68 of Ocala, FL passed away on Friday, September 9, 2011. He was born in Corning, NY on October 30, 1942. Glenn was raised in Campbell, NY. He joined the US Army where he served with the 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment "Black Lions" Division in Vietnam. He was a graduate of Arkansas State where he received a Bachelor degree in Education. Mr. Patton worked in education as a teacher for 32 years. He was a Methodist and was a life member of VFW #4209 in Ocala, FL. He was an avid fisherman. Glenn loved his country and playing with his grandson. He moved to Ocala, FL from Corning, NY in 1979. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Judith L. Patton of Ocala, FL; son Gregory (Naomi) Patton of Ocala, FL; sister Patricia Knowles of Painted Post, NY; brother Ralph (Ann) Patton of Shortsville, NY; 1 grandson Jarek Glenn; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Glenn G. Patton, Sr; mother Bertha Patton; brother Gerald Patton and brother Rodney Patton. A memorial service with military honors will take place at Highland Memorial Park, 1515 NE 3rd Street, Ocala, FL on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 1:00pm.
