Obituary of Donald Lee Eitreim

THE VILLAGES — Donald Lee Eitreim, 84, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011. Mr. Eitreim was born in Rock County, Minn., and moved to The Villages from South Dakota in 1997. He was a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church, The Villages; loved to sing; sang with the Hope Lutheran Church Choir, Brotherhood of Harmony, The Village Voices, Villages Christian Chorale; also a member of the American Legion; the Scandanavian/American Club; and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Killion Eitreim; sons William Eitreim, South Dakota, Craig Eitreim, Kansas, Michael Thompson, Florida, James Thompson, Colorado; brothers Warren, South Dakota, Milton, Minnesota; sisters Bernice Miller, Texas, Shirley Knowlton, Minnesota, Mildred Larson, South Dakota; and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Hope Lutheran Church, with Pastor Barry Hunteman officiating. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
