Marlene Spanier-Blecker
Born November 4, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York; died September 11, 2011 in The Villages, Florida. She was an elementary school teacher for the New York School System for 30 years, and was a member of the Jewish faith. Marlene moved to The Villages, Florida in October 2005.
She is survived by her newly wedded husband, Martin Blecker of The Villages, Florida; sons, Robert L. Spanier of Bay Shore, New York, and Scott D. Spanier of Baldwin, New York; granddaughter, Jessica Leigh Spanier of Baldwin, New York.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2011 2:PM at HIERS-BAXLEY FUNERAL SERVICES, The Villages, FL 352-753-8353. Graveside service will be held at New Montefiore Cemetery, West Babylon, New York on Friday, September 16, 2011 1:PM. Memorial contributions may be given to Moffitt Cancer Center, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL 33612, or Cornerstone of The Villages Hospice.
