Obituary of Jeryl Wilson Riddick

THE VILLAGES — Jeryl "Jerry" Riddick Sr., 74, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011. Mr. Riddick was born in Norfolk, Va., and moved to The Villages from there in 2004. He was a retired chief of the building and zoning department for the city of Norfolk, Va.; member and director of BOCA, Fraternal Order of Eagles. His hobbies include golf, cards, darts, bowling and dancing at the squares and Katie Belle's. Survivors include his son, Jeryl Jr., Chesapeake, Va. and daughters Stacy J. Riddick and Mitzi, both of The Villages. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1101 N. Lake Destiny Road, Suite 415, Maitland, FL 32751. Arrangements are by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services-The Villages.
