Obituary of Alfred "Alf" Anderson

Alfred E. "Andy" "Alf" Anderson, passed away in Jacksonville, FL on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. He was born in Iowa City, IA on April 1, 1936, son to the late August and Alta (Canon) Anderson, and grew up in Bedford, IA. After graduating from Bedford High School in 1954 he enlisted in the USAF and served a time in Viet Nam. He retired from the Air Force in 1974. In 1956 he became the "Devoted Husband' to Joyce Wallace of Clarinda, IA. In 1957 their daughter Kathy was born in Wichita, KS He attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha, NE, receiving his Bachelors Degree in Business in 1974. He then served as Materials Management Director for several hospitals, retiring in 2000 from Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte, NE. In 2001 Alf and Joyce moved to Dunnellon, FL. He is survived by his Beloved Wife of 55 years, Joyce, daughter Kathy Anderson and granddaughter, Yumiko Fujinari-Bray, both of Oregon: 4 siblings and many nieces and nephews.
