Obituary of James R. Sutton

SUTTON, JAMES R. (JIMMY) Ocala - James R. (Jimmy) Sutton, 84, passed away on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was a native and lifetime resident of Ocala. He was retired from Kennedy's Men's Store and served his country in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member and Deacon Emeritus of Unity Baptist Church in Anthony. He is survived by his wife, Mona Rawls Sutton of Ocala, his sons, David R. Sutton of AL and John L. Sutton and wife Deborah of Belleview and his grandchildren, Marshall, Amanda and Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Bertha Williams Sutton and his brothers, Ralph L. Sutton and Lester Sutton and his daughter-in-law, Debbie Marshall Sutton. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd. with Rev. Samuel W. Clements officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-3 PM. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Unity Baptist Church in Anthony.
