Obituary of Robert Duane Picking
THE VILLAGES — Robert Duane Picking, 85, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2011.
Mr. Picking was born in Rowsburg, Ohio, and moved to The Villages from Key West in 1991. He was an accountant for many years with various public businesses; an Army Air Force veteran of World War II; of the Lutheran faith and a member of The Chapel of Christian Faith; an avid golfer, scuba diver and enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; daughters Connie Ericson, Bobbi Kershner; sons Joseph, Timothy; stepdaughters Kimberly Laster, Karen Dooms; and 29 grand- and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at The Chapel of Christian Faith.
