Obituary of Joan Marie Westmoreland

Joan Marie Westmoreland, 67, of Ocala, FL went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Born on February 6, 1944 in Detroit, MI, daughter to the late Fred and Goldie (Holbrook) Whitaker, she moved here in 1995 from St. Clair Shores, MI. She received her associates degree in design engineering from Macomb Community College, Warren, MI and worked for many years at General Safety Corporation in St. Clair Shores as a Supervisor of Engineering. She served her Lord with her many talents and was a present member of First Baptist Church of Ocala and prior member of First Baptist Church of Belleview. Joan was greatly loved and will forever be missed by her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years: David; daughters: Theresa Bradford (Jon) and Sandra Wiiki (Daniel), both of Geneva, OH; grandchildren: Rebekah, Laura, Catherine, Natalie and David Bradford and Samuel Wiiki and siblings Barbara, Fred and Ronald. A visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM in the TimberRidge Chapel of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, 9695 SW 110th St. Ocala and also on Friday, Sept 30th, from11:00AM to 12:00PM at which time the funeral service will be held with Dr. Darren Gaddis officiating.
