Obituary of John Waldorf Lundgren

LADY LAKE — John Waldorf Lundgren, 83, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011. Mr. Lundgren was born in Chicago, Ill., and moved to The Villages in 1993 from Connecticut. He was retired as an engineer from Stanadyne Corporation; a Lutheran by faith; member of the North End Traveling Bowling Team; hobbies were golf, bowling and cards; and he was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; son, David J., Winter Haven; daughter, Janet A. Lundgren, Lady Lake; brother, Alan Lundgren, Elk Grove Village, Ill.; and one grandchild. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct.10, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162. Arrangements are by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services-The Villages.
