Obituary of Joseph Donald Hill

Joseph D. "Joe" Hill 68 Ocala suddenly passed away October 1st 2011 at his home. Joe was the youngest son of the late William C. and Gladys M. Hill of Ocala. Joe was a native Floridian and resident of Ocala for over 60 years. Joe ran a successful catering company, and worked in the furniture moving industry for most of his life before retirement. Joe served in the Marines and was a Vietnam Veteran. Joe was active with the Shrine Club of Florida. Joe was a member of the First Christian Church. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends as well as hunting, fishing, and the Florida Gators. Joe is survived by his daughter, Michelle McGaughy, Montana; four sons, Joe Jr. (Amanda), St. Augustine; Chadwick, St. Augustine; Harrison, Jacksonville; and Hunter, Tampa; and five grandchilden, Tyler, Wesley, Sabrina, Abigail, and Shelby. Joe is also survived by his loving companion, Carol Wolfgang, Tampa; brothers Mike (Martha Sue), Micanopy; and Jerry (Brenda), Crystal River. He was preceded in death by his brother, William K Hill. Services will be held at First Christian Church 1908 SE Fort King Street. Ocala, Florida 34471 on Friday, October 7th at 2:00 pm.
