Obituary of Samuel Martsolf
MARTSOLF, SAMUEL L.
Ocala - Samuel L. Martsolf, 77, passed away on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Brighton, PA. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Ocala and served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1957. He received his education from CFCC, Emory University and the University of Florida. He was Assistant Engineer for the City of Ocala and was employed by Moorhead Engineering since 1978. He was a member of Florida Engineering Society, National Society of Professional Engineers, Florida Society of Land Surveyors, and a Technical Advisory Committee at CFCC since 1973. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Juanita S. Martsolf of Ocala, his daughter, Ann M. Fraser and her husband Bruce of Tallahassee, his sons, Samuel D. Martsolf and his wife Deborah of Ocala and Gregory S. Martsolf and his wife Karen of Naples, his brother, J. David Martsolf and his wife Mary of Gainesville and his grandchildren, Alex, Candace, Zach and Chris Martsolf and Hope Fraser. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 at 4:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd. Visitation will be at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County or your favorite charity.
