Obituary of Joan Barbara Barber

On the wings of a butterfly Mrs. Joan Barbara Barber, 77, of The Villages was carried home on October 6, 2011, at The Villages Hospice. A native of Ravenna, Ohio she moved to The Villages in 1999. She was a Supervisor for Alphabet, Inc. Joan was a member of the Moose Lodge in Ohio and the Secret Sisters Club. She loved golf, bowling, couponing, mah-jong, and she enjoying sewing. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, David A. Barber, sons, R. Louis Schneeberger, Solon, OH, and David L. Schneeberger, North Canton, OH; step-sons, David W. Barber, Atwater, OH, Timothy A. Barber, Ravenna, OH, Richard Barber, Cuyahoga Falls, OH; four sisters, Norma Murdock, Ravenna, OH, Laura Joiner, The Villages, FL, Jean Rothermel, Atwater, OH, Joyce Sferra, The Villages, FL; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her daughter, Robyn Baker, parents, Laurel & Mildred Chalker, two brothers and two sisters. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Barber will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services - The Villages, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, FL.
