Obituary of Howard Newman Hope
Ocala - Howard Newman Hope, 80, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Emeritus at Ocala East. He was born in Browder, Kentucky, but lived many years in Tell City, Indiana. Howard served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was employed at Mead Johnson's in Evansville, In. for several years then joined Alcoa Aluminum's Warrick Operation where he remained until his retirement in 1985. Upon retirement, he moved to Leesburg, Fl and then to Ocala, Fl. He was an Honorable Mention All State Basketball Player in 1950 at Drakesboro High School in Drakesboro, Kentucky. He is survived by his son David (Donna) Hope of Ocala; four grandsons Ty Guillaume of Leopold, In, Jared Guillaume of Evansville, In, Matthew Hope of Orlando, Fl. Travis Hope of Orlando, Fl. brother H.L. Hope of Evansville, In; sister Elda Ree Casey of Henderson, Ky; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Hope Allen. Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services - Ocala Chapel.
