Memaw, there is not a day that doesn't go by that you are not in my thoughts. I love to think about all the great times we had together and all the wisdom you shared with me. Some of my fondest memories are going to visit Granny in the nursing home, visiting new churches on Sunday, sitting on the front porch sittin in the rocking chair drinking an ice cold glass of fresh sweet tea watching all the cars drive by and listening to all your old records. I will always remember my 13th birthday, you took me to almost every store trying to find me the perfect dress to wear for my birthday dinner. You picked it out and it was perfect! I felt so beautiful and the whole family went to Olive Garden to celebrate. You are an amazing person who lived a remarkable life, you cherished each day and made the best of it. I love you and I am so sad that you did not get to meet my son Aidan before you left us and won't be here to see me get married. I know you will be in heaven watching but just wont be the same without you here. I hope you come and visit me in my dreams Memaw... I love you!

Growing up Mema Cecile was more like my best friend than any my grandmother, I could talk to her about anything... she always listened to me but never judged me. She would give me that look and I knew she understood me. And if it was something that she thought that I shouldn't do or be involved in she would talk to me about it and how young ladies didn't do those kind of things and showed me that I shouldn't follow the crowd, I should be my own self.
Well, I am grown now - with kids of my own and I still use her wisdom still today. And I have passed it on to my children.
So you see she is still apart of us even though she is gone now.
I will always love you mema... you are in a much better place now...you are with grandpa and your mom & dad.
Rest now in God's arms for your work here is done

I met Mrs Foster in December 1981 as my bus driver after moving to Ocala. She was so remarkable on only my second day on the bus she already knew my name and would have me say hello to my Grandmother for her. I was reintroduced to her in 1987 by her granddaughter, after numerous years she still remembered me as the "little guy" Then on May 8th 1988 I married her granddaughter Teresa Foster and she became my Memaw too. I will remember her very fondly and still say I wish she didn't throw me off the bus in 11th grade. Memaw C I love you and will miss you......your grandson Brent Steel

Ms. Foster drove Bus # 49 from Oakcrest School. I rode on that bus for several years back in the 60's. She was the nicest lady back then. She even let me and Dale ride on the steps (if we promised not to tell anyone)...May she RIP!
