Palmer.
I will always remember Palmer as a man who showed great warmth, enthusiasm and love for all those that knew him. It was truly inspirational to see him take a young child, Bobby, under his wing to teach him the caring attitude that Palmer Rogers lived by.
When all of us on the Hickory Lake Estates Architectural Committee met, we found time to tell stories and get to know one another and we became a tight group of friends. It was Palmer who always had the best stories and the biggest laugh. We were all fortunate to have the opportunity to work with him and share his love of the community. Palmer left no doubt of his pride in Bobby and the love of his wife.
To his family, thank you for sharing him with us and we now share your grief.
He will be missed.
Brad Ward
Chair of the Hickory Lake Estates Architectural Committee

To Palmer's family: I am very sorry for your loss. Palmer will be remembered as a friendly and happy person, who was always willing to share a smile with his neighbors. He cared about his community and, as a former board member of Hickory Lakes HOA, I am grateful for his service to our community. Liz Glenn, former Board Member.

Palmer
An outstanding and thoughtful human being! I met Palmer approximately 9 years ago at a Hickory Lake Homeowners' Association meeting. He served our community loyally as both a proud homeowner and a member of our executive committee.
Palmer and I became very close because we had a lot in common, we were both Air Force Veterans, suffered disabilities and loved singing. When my health declined to a point that I became homebound, Palmer would come by to visit and occasionally, we would talk about health issues, VA benefits, the community, or just sing together. He was very fond of his music and karoke singing. I once heard of neighbors talking about Palmer and his karoke singing coming from his garage...he enjoyed his hobby.
Palmer told me a short while ago that he was selling his house and moving to Ocala; I wasn't happy to receive that information because I knew he would be missed. However,
I really appreciate the opportunity afforded me to spent some time with such a wonderful man, husband and father. May God continue to bless his lovely family! Your loss is our loss...he is at peace and will always be loved and missed!

Palmer -
He did it his way - gregarious, effervescent, bouncing into a room with a big smile on his face. Once more likely found dancing and enjoying Tampa's night life, he grew to enjoy home life with his wife and young son.
He was not afraid of dying, often saying that his last breath on earth would be followed by his first breath in heaven - but he hoped not to leave Angele alone so soon and wanted to see Bobby grow up.
He will always be remembered by his love of peanut butter, ice cream, Big JR's, Malio's, karioke, Elvis, Chubby Checkers, & the song Choices.
Forever close to my heart, Jean

I will miss my dad dearly.
My fondest memory of him is when I was a child, I would wait up for him to come home from work and fix him a tuna stuffed tomatoe, which he used to love and watch TV with him. He use to call me T-turtle.
I also enjoyed going out to eat after church and going for rides on Sundays and taking trips to Louisiana to visit his family with him and my mom, sister and brother.
He would come to my brother Kenny's and my ball games and cheer us on and get angry when there was a bad call made.
My sister Pam and him shared the love for Elvis Presley and both love to dance.
My brother Kenny, shared car races, wrestling matches and shooting guns.
Kenny and I used to work for my dad and earned extra spending money, which I saved up for my first car at 16.
I missed my dad when he was alive b/c we didn't stay in touch like we should have, and now I will miss him even more.
I have always loved my father,
Tammy (AKA T-Turtle)
