EDWARDS. EUGENE LLOYD, 78 The Villages - Eugene Lloyd Edwards, 78, died at Ocala Regional Medical Center on Monday, December 19, 2011. He was born in Pittsburg, California and moved to this area from Michigan 7 years ago. He was a member of New Life Christian Church and was a Mason. Mr. Edwards retired from the Air Force after 23 years as a Chief Master Sergeant, serving in Korea, Vietnam and the Cold War, worked 20 years at John Hancock Insurance, and was a college administrator for 11 years at Alpena Community College in Michigan. He hit two Holes in One in his lifetime. He enjoyed camping, golfing, stained glass and whittling. Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife of 59 years, Diane Edwards, The Villages; sons, Steve Edwards, Michigan, Dennis Edwards, Ohio, Thomas Edwards, California, Mark Edwards, Michigan; daughter, Leslie Koenig, Michigan; brother, Kent Edwards, California; sister, Gloria Edwards, California; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
