Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Barnett

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Barnett, 80, of Ocala, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Sylvia's Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family. A native of Roanoke, Virginia, she moved to this area in 1999, coming here from Salem, VA. For many years she managed a private music studio, and taught music both there and in her home. Her memberships include the DAR, she was a leader in the Women's Bible Study Fellowship, and was a member of Church of Hope in Ocala. She is survived by her husband William H. "Bill" Barnett, III, daughters Carolyn Stewart, Kitty Stewart, and Sharon Feury, her son Michael Stewart, sister Peg Wallace, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Harry Stewart. A memorial service for Mrs. Barnett will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, with Dr. Mark Cummins officiating. Interment will be in Roanoke, Virginia. At the family's request, memorial contributions may be made to Gideon's International.
