Obituary of Clarissa Maude Harris

Clarissa Maude "Grandma" Harris, age 82, of Ocala, FL went on to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 5, 2012. She was born in Jamaica, W. Indies on October 29, 1929. She was raised in Jamaica and moved to the US 27 years ago. During her life Mrs. Harris was a Home Health Aide. Grandma loved playing bingo, attending church activities and eating out with her family at Red Lobster. Mrs. Harris is survived by daughter Jennifer of Ocala, FL; sons Vincent of Ocala, FL, Dudley of Orlando, Michael and Leroy of New York and Isiah of California; sister Tasilda of Jamaica, W. Indies; 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mrs. Harris's family described her as a very happy and positive person. A visitation with food reception for family and friends will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 5-8pm. A funeral service will be held at Wings of Faith Fellowship, 5066 SE 64th Avenue Road, Ocala, Florida on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00am. Interment will take place at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, Ocala, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harris Family Vision Foundation, Inc., PO Box 340335, Brooklyn, NY 11234.
