Obituary of Jo Betsy Boyd

BOYD, JO BETSY, 75 Lady Lake - Jo Betsy Boyd, 75, died Sunday, January 8, 2012 at The Villages Hospice. She was born in Ashland City, Tennessee and moved from Ft. Lauderdale to this area in 2004. She was an active member of First Baptist Church at The Villages, a member of the Orchid Society, enjoyed cooking, entertaining, golfing, boating, cruising and traveling. Survivors include her son, Robert Dozier, Lady Lake; step-sons, Larry R. Boyd, Atlanta, GA, Charles A. Boyd, Fort Lauderdale, FL and Jeff L. Boyd, Ponder, TX; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church at The Villages on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 11 am. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday evening, January 10, from 5 - 7 pm at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, 1151 Buenos Aires Blvd. memorial donations may be made to Hospice of The Villages or the American Cancer Society.
