Obituary of Gladys M. Zapora

SUMMERFIELD — Gladys M. Zapora, 81, died, Monday, Jan. 9, 2012. Mrs. Zapora was born in Nanticoke, Pa., and moved to Summerfield from Monticello, Ga., 13 years ago. She retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. after 30 years; she was a member of Lady Lake United Methodist Church; member of the West Coast Club of Stonecrest and the Morning Star Chapter No. 22, Order of the Eastern Star of New Jersey; and she was an avid bingo and lottery player. Survivors include her husband, Joseph; son, Carl, Edmonds, Wash., and sister, Phyllis Lawrence, Monticello, Ga. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. Memorial contributions may be made to Lady Lake United Methodist Church. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages is in charge of arrangements. .
