Obituary of William Stamp

STAMP, WILLIAM L., 84 The Villages - William L. Stamp, 84, passed away at The Villages Regional Hospital surrounded by his family on Monday, January 23, 2012. He was born in East Providence, Rhode Island and moved to The Villages from New London, CT in 1997. He was employed as a Superintendent with General Dynamics for 34 years. He enjoyed playing golf, cards, travelling, and his retirement in Florida. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Stamp is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan, The Villages, FL; daughters, Nancy Kenyon, Wilmington, NC; Joanne Packer, Hanover, MA; sons, William L., Hope Valley, RI; David A., San Diego, CA; Robert M., Montville, CT; sisters, Barbara Mosher, Barrington, RI; Nathalie Fox, Honolulu, HI; Louise Stamp, Riverside, RI; brother, Robert Stamp, Winsted, CT; and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by many dear friends in The Villages. He was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 8:30 a.m. at St. Timothy Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in Florida National Cemetery.
